Mooncakes!

The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of many celebrated festivals here in Singapore. Based on the Chinese lunar calendar, it is the 15th day of the eighth month where the moon is the believed to be at its brightest and fullest, thereby symbolizing abundance and harmony. This auspicious occasion is celebrated among the Chinese communities worldwide. It is a time of reunion for families and friends where all gather to enjoy mooncakes, Chinese tea and appreciate the full moon.

Lisa went to a mooncake making workshop here at Treetops to share in the local delight.
