Happy Birthday!

Today is Sadie's 7 month birthday! To celebrate, she posed with George:

...but is no longer content to just lay next to him:

...and later celebrated with a yummy treat:

Bear Down (Literally)

Sadie enjoyed her first Bears game on Monday. Even though the Bears lost the game, she enjoyed seeing her home team play.

Lazy Sunday

Sunday was a lazy day at the Wilt household - Monday is a holiday (Happy Deepavali everyone!) so we lounged around, spent a bit of time by the pool and organized the apartment. Here are a few pictures from the day:

Adam and Sadie spent some quality time on the couch as she practiced standing up:

Lisa and Sadie had fun playing with her toys:

...and our favorite part of every day is when we wake up Sadie from her naps. She is always full of smiles and so excited to have more fun:

A Night on the Town

Adam went to a friend's wedding this weekend at the Raffle's hotel, shown below.

The Raffles is known for not having any guest rooms - they only offer suites. Some of the famous people who have stayed at Raffles include President George H.W. Bush, Rudy Giuliani, Michael Jackson, and Beyonce Knowles.

Prior to the wedding, he met a friend at the "Long Bar" (birthplace of the Singapore Sling) for a quick drink. Here is a picture of Sadie helping her Daddy get ready for the night:

The bad news is that as we were about to enter the reception, my Singaporean friend told me that people usually don't wear suits to weddings unless they are working at the venue. The good news is that I made $17 in tips. All in all it was a very fun night.

More Milestones

Sadie celebrated her 30 week birthday with a couple of new milestones. She can now sit by herself for a few moments:

She sits facing forward in her strollers:

She really enjoys drinking out of her sippy cup:

and has just started to "scoot" on her tummy a bit:

The Family That Brushes Together...

Now that Sadie has 2 teeth, we brush them each night before bed. She loves it when Mommy massages her gums as shown in the video below:

Fun Family Weekend

On Saturday, we all went to the Dr. for our flu shots and Sadie was weighed and measured again. The official measurements show that she now weighs 6.8 kg (almost 15 pounds) and is 64.5 cm (25.4 inches) tall.

After the appointment, Sadie modeled off one of her favorite outfits while playing with her soft block books:

On Sunday we went to the Botanic Gardens for some family photos. Sadie enjoyed wearing her new dress and riding in the taxi...

...and looking at the swans in Swan Lake with Mommy...

....but is always happiest lounging around the house in her more comfy outfits.

Library and Singing Time

Sadie and Mommy enjoyed some time at the Wilt Library in the video below:

...and later enjoyed playing with one of her new toys:

Just the Three of Us......

All Growns Up!

Sadie's newest trick is standing. You have to put her in the position, yet she's always very proud of herself once standing.

Mooncakes!

The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of many celebrated festivals here in Singapore. Based on the Chinese lunar calendar, it is the 15th day of the eighth month where the moon is the believed to be at its brightest and fullest, thereby symbolizing abundance and harmony. This auspicious occasion is celebrated among the Chinese communities worldwide. It is a time of reunion for families and friends where all gather to enjoy mooncakes, Chinese tea and appreciate the full moon.

Lisa went to a mooncake making workshop here at Treetops to share in the local delight.
