We also put a hat on Sadie because she likes to accessorize. The hats haven't been necessary yet in Singapore but will come in handy when the aircon is a bit too intense. Sadie has Mommy's smile and Daddy's love of the Chicago Bears.

Storytime
Here is a pic of Daddy reading a bedtime story. Thanks to everyone who gave us such a great library! Sadie really likes the books and is a very calm baby - the only time she cries is when she is hungry.

Sadie's First Day Out
Sadie, Day 3
Sadie Faith Wilt Has Arrived!!
Hello All,
As many of you know, our baby has arrived! Sadie Faith Wilt was born on March 20, 2009 at Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore. The whole family is doing great - we are now home and getting settled into a routine.
Sadie's "official" due date was March 20th so she was right on time. As the date drew near, Lisa's countdown chain kept getting shorter and shorter....

Lisa went into labor at 11:30 pm on Thursday night. After getting all of our hospital bags organized and loaded into the car, we drove to the hospital. Here is Lisa prior to our departure:
We arrived at the hospital and were checked into the delivery ward. Adam got comfortable in a recliner and we just waited for the baby to make its first appearance. During the delivery, we were helped by Theresa, the oldest midwife in Singapore. Theresa is 73 and somewhat of a local celebrity. She, and the other midwives, nurses, and Dr. Tan were great throughout the process.
The baby arrived at 10:19 Friday morning and we discovered that it was a baby girl. Adam cut the umbilical cord, the pediatrician checked out Sadie (2.71 kg, 49 cm - I almost ordered a Royale with Cheese to honor the metric system, but refrained) and everything we dreamed about over the last 40 weeks became real. We then moved to the labor ward - here is a picture of Lisa and Sadie relaxing together.
Adam conducted a quick post-delivery interview to get Lisa's thoughts on the process and our newest family member. The video below captures some of her comments:
Later that day, Adam was holding Sadie while Lisa asked the tough questions:

March's Belly Shot
Ahhhhhhh, this should be the last belly shot for the blog. After this it will be all about Lucky Wilt. I cannot believe how big I am or how close we are to meeting Lucky. We cannot wait! I added a picture of Lucky's good looking Daddy since this is the last month of belly shots...we can all determine who Lucky looks more like in just a few weeks. :)

Our SURPRISE Baby Shower!
Friday, February 27, 2008 I was very surprised to walk into a my own Baby Shower! (Funny thing was I was holding a birthday gift for a friend that I thought we were surprising with a B-day party.) Adam and I were quite touched to have the few friends we've made out here spend their Friday evening with us, celebrating our soon to come baby.
Our friends that threw the party even had our family get involved by sending baby pictures of Adam & I to decorate with, along with funny childhood stories about us that the guest had to guess who did what. We noshed on lovely grilled meats & veggies & of course cake. We received a bunch of really great books for Baby Wilt, too. It was quite the night, not because we got a baby shower, but because it showed us that even in a short period of time you can still make some really good friends. The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been to have the rest of our dear friends & family with us......
